Following Christ to Freedom

Freedom from sin, the world, shame…

I was too bound to free myself, and too deep in the pit to claw my way out.  I needed Christ to lead me to freedom.  This is his desire for me, that I allow him space in my life so that he can free me from the things that keep me tied down and living in misery. I need Him. I want him to remove all the junk that binds me up and keeps me from living the beautiful boundless life He has for me.

​Many are bound up with things from the world. It may be excessive consumption of media or food, gambling, need for approval, workaholism, excessive exercise, appearance, alcohol, gaming, obsession with sports, or a variety of other things. That's why we are not to judge each other.  We are all in need of freedom.

We often put our effort and resources into building our kingdom instead of focusing on God’s forever kingdom. He wants us to let go of the world and hold tight to Him.

Each of us has our own story of how Jesus is sett us free from our obsessions, idols, and the lies we believe.
